Back from a two year pandemic inspired hiatus, John and I retook the floor surrounded by the good folk from The Bookworm.
Let’s cut to the chase, shall we? We sold out our entire stock by late Saturday afternoon. 506 copies to be exact. What an amazing experience.
Some takeaways from this year’s experience:
• Crowds weren’t quite as large as in previous years, but the people who were there were really excited and enthusiastic.
• We sold books to two sets of Finns, and a group from Singapore, growing our global outreach to 29 countries.
• We met some amazing people, including a financial planner called Lauren Templeton. I’m attaching a link to the story she wrote about financial literacy and the Omaha experience. https://oraclesfables.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/a61eb-thepilgrimagetofinancialliteracyleadstoomaha.pdf
• Lastly, Advil and a good scotch seems to work exceptionally well after spending 13 hours standing on a concrete floor. 🙂
